Lee Haughton is the Company Environmental Management and Compliance Coordinator at Premier Foods. He is head of environment for Premier's 10 manufacturing sites in the UK, and is currently working on delivery of renewable energy, employee engagement, waste mapping and incineration reduction, sustainable transport and water efficiency projects. In the last 18 months he has successfully implemented ISO14001 certified Environmental Management Systems at four Premier Foods sites. Lee is co-chair of the Courtauld 2025 Water Working Group.
He is firmly of the belief that the scope for further environmental improvements within the food industry is vast; that improvements do not have to come from multi-million pound capital projects to deliver change, and that collaboration between sites, departments and other companies in your sector is a key to success.
Lee has worked for Premier Foods for 14 years, and previously worked for Unilever, Severn Trent Water, Glanbia, Stockport Council and Groundwork.
