Opening keynote: Climate crisis: adapt and overcome
The threat posed by climate change is existential. Notwithstanding efforts to decarbonise our society, evidence shows sustained shifts in the UK’s climate and weather patterns before 2050 are now inevitable. These shifts are driving up major risk factors to our way of life and operation of critical infrastructure. And the gap is widening between our knowledge of these rising risks and our ability to manage or mitigate them. What can utilities do now to change this picture and protect the interests of their customers, communities and their own organisations?
-
Understanding the impacts of climate change in the UK
-

-
