Gero Bieser

After finishing my PhD in physics at the TU Munich, I joined the SAP Industry Business Unit Utilities in 1997. Since then I have worked on a wide range of subjects – from Enterprise Asset Management to Customer Relationship Management and Smart Meters– and have been involved in numerous consulting projects in the global utility industry. In addition, I developed standard SAP implementation tools, led software development projects and collaborated with SAP Research focusing on Smart Grid topics. Currently I focus on how to leverage the latest SAP technology to integrate IT and OT systems to enable smart electricity and water networks.
