Jianzhong Wu is Professor of Multi-Vector Energy Systems at Cardiff University, researching Smart Grid and energy infrastructure. He has contributed to more than 40 EU, EPSRC and industry funded projects as a Principal Investigator or a Co-Investigator. Particularly he was the deputy leader of the Multi-Energy Theme of EPSRC HubNet, Principal Investigator of projects on dynamic demand funded by National Grid, Toshiba and OPEN ENERGI, and the Cardiff Principal Investigator of EU Horizon 2020 projects on Peer to Peer Smart Energy Distribution Networks and MAGNITUDE. Jianzhong has been Chairman and member of the organising committee for a number of high profile conferences and Subject Editor for “Applied Energy”. He is the current Director of Applied Energy UNiLAB on Synergies between Energy Networks.
