Mel Karam

Mel Karam was Chief Executive Officer of Bristol Water for 6 years from April 2017. Under his leadership the company has been transformed to become one of the leading water companies in UK. Prior to Bristol Water, Mel was a Partner at KPMG International where he was Global Head of Asset Management. Mel has over 30 years of experience in senior and executive roles with organisations including British Gas, National Grid, Scotia Gas, and Thames Water in operations, asset management and major projects. He has worked with and advised many infrastructure and utility organisations globally on strategy and value creation from their assets and people. Mel is a Fellow of Institute of Civil Engineers with a First Class Degree in Engineering and an MBA from London Business School.
