Roch Cheroux is an accomplished executive leader with more than 30 years of global experience in the water and infrastructure sectors, including two decades as CEO of listed, private, and government-owned companies. A dual Australian-French national, he has led major transformations in Europe, Asia, and Australia, driving operational excellence, cultural renewal, and strategic growth.
Roch is currently Chief Executive Officer of Dŵr Cymry Welsh Water, the company responsible for providing over three million people with water and wastewater services in Wales.
Most recently, as CEO of Sydney Water, he delivered a forward-looking strategy that strengthened performance, expanded infrastructure delivery, and enhanced customer trust—earning Sydney Water the Most Trusted Brand (Utilities) Award in 2024. Prior to this, he led SA Water through a cultural and digital transformation, positioning it as Australia’s Digital Utility of the Year in 2018.
Roch’s leadership journey includes pivotal roles at SUEZ, United Utilities, and Tallinn Water. He holds a Master’s degree in Engineering and Business Management and has extensive experience across executive and non-executive board roles, reflecting his commitment to innovation, sustainability, and public value.
