A staggering 40% of the UK’s carbon emissions come from homes, meaning a radical rethink of how we insulate, heat and power our homes is absolutely critical if the UK is to meet its ambitious net-zero targets. In recognition of utilities’ leading role on this all-important issue, Utility Week Live was delighted to launch a new feature for 2023, The House of the Future, demonstrating the art of the possible in retrofitting, smart home and EV charging solutions.
In its second year, we were delighted to welcome back the UK’s leading water companies including Severn Trent, Anglian Water, Northumbrian Water, Welsh Water and United Utilities in association with Spring, the industry’s Centre of Excellence, showcasing their cutting-edge innovation projects. With a new layout reflecting the areas of focus for water innovation, the Spring Water Innovation Zone at Utility Week Live was the must-attend home of innovation in UK water.
The Energy Innovation Centre was once again central to Utility Week Live, bringing together two complementary feature areas – the Innovation Zone, playing host to some of the most exciting new companies in the energy space; and the Network Innovation Zone, where energy networks including UW Power Networks, Northern Powergrid, SSE and Scottish Power shared their innovations.
This space was a celebration of all the network sector has achieved with its longstanding commitment to collaborative innovation, and a must-attend, both for those involved in energy innovation themselves, and those who want to take its lessons back to their own businesses.
One of Utility Week Live’s most popular features, we were delighted to welcome back the Water Innovation Zone. The space hosted SMEs and innovators who are bringing fresh ideas to the water sector. It included its very own dedicated theatre space, where Isle ran their own content programme across the two days.
With an unmissable content programme and the biggest players in utilities all under one roof, UWL 2024 is a must-attend event for utilities professionals.
