Xiaolin Ding received her MSc (2002) and PhD (2006) degrees in Electrical Engineering from the University of Manchester and Queen’s University of Belfast, respectively. She then joined National Grid, and her industrial experience covers network modelling, system analysis, system planning and power quality. She has been heavily involved in the innovation of electricity network since 2019 and is currently the Net-zero Innovation Lead in UK National Grid for power systems and planning, and whole energy systems. She is also a chartered engineer of IET and an expert members of CIGRE working groups.
