UCARS – THE WAY TO IMPROVE INDUSTRY STANDARDS

Managers, Supervisors, Operatives and Apprentices from contracting firms, councils and leading UK infrastructure service companies such as United Utilities, Kier, Ringway Jacobs, Yorkshire Water, Telent and Network Plus, have all benefitted from UCARS.

UltraCrete are delighted with the feedback they have received from attendees and their 5-star feedback score is over 85%, but don’t just take their word for it, take a look at what some of the trainees have had to say about UCARS.

“I highly recommend the UCARS course. The training content and delivery is first-class and is of benefit to many. The knowledge gained from attending is priceless and provides great, all round detail into access cover installation.” Sammy Nelson, United Utilities.

“A brilliant day at Instarmac on their UCARS course. If you deal with any aspect of highway maintenance and you use any of the products, this is a brilliant course. I have learnt a great deal, despite having worked on the highway for 9 years now.” Aidan Fitzgerald, Ringway Jacobs.

“The course was well structured and the technical information was explained clearly. The practical element was of great use to us and will help us when promoting work in the future. We would definitely recommend the course to anyone who undertakes or supervises Street Furniture repairs.” Nicola Duckett, Yorkshire Water.

On the huge success of UCARS, Richard Moss, UltraCrete Brand Manager, commented: “UCARS has been such a triumph. Everyone has been so enthusiastic about adopting UCARS standards and as more operatives become UCARS accredited, the greater the knowledge within the industry about the importance of using approved materials will be. This will result in fewer failures and increased productivity. Getting UCARS accredited is a win win for everyone.’

Held at UltraCrete’s bespoke training facilities in Tamworth, UCARS is the ideal opportunity for highways operatives to enhance their skill set by learning how to install ironwork reinstatement materials in order to comply with British standards and specifications.

Consisting of both classroom-based theory and practical demonstrations, UCARS will guide you through every stage of an ironwork reinstatement and culminates in trainees having the opportunity to mix and apply UltraCrete materials themselves.

UCARS is held regularly throughout the year. To book an upcoming UCARS event, please visit instarmactrainingacademy.co.uk. Can’t find a date to suit you and your business needs? Email training@instarmac.co.uk to arrange a training date that works for you.
