ElectraLink was created in 1998 by the UK's Electricity Distribution Network Operators (DNOs) to provide an independent, secure and low-cost service to transfer data between the participants in the deregulated UK electricity market.
The company has reprocured and continues to operate the regulated Data Transfer Service (DTS) which now underpins supplier switching, meter interoperability and other processes critical to the competitive gas and electricity markets in the UK. Our Governance Services division's reputation for impartiality and energy market expertise makes us an ideal partner in the management of energy industry governance arrangements.
Following significant growth in the past decade, ElectraLink is able to provide reliable market insight through the analysis of DTS datasets. Finally, we are putting data-led innovation at the centre of our future in the market, collaborating closely with networks, renewable energy and low emissions tech providers, and automotive stakeholders to prepare Britain's energy system for net zero.
