James is a chartered chemical engineer with expertise in wastewater treatment, industrial drying, and thermochemical conversion technologies. His core interests lie in advanced plant design, process optimization and intensification, and applied R&D.
For the past 3 years, I have has been leading the development of Onunda’s proprietary biosolids and bioresources treatment technology. This platform integrates two thermochemical conversion pathways: hydrothermal carbonisation and rotary kiln gasification, to achieve the destruction of persistent pollutants such as PFAS and microplastics. The system is designed to maximize resource recovery, generating renewable energy and concentrated nutrient streams in three valorised products.
