John Rumble

John currently leads on Affinity Waters input to Local Plans as well as managing the organisations' response to planning applications within its supply area. Johns’ wider responsibilities within Affinity water include leading on the development and implementation of the companies Drought Plan, including the environmental assessment work associated with this. He has recently taken responsibility to develop, and Lead on Affinity Waters work on Climate Change, including its adaptation and risk management activity and the Net Zero plan. John is also leading the work on Natural Capital and the company’s response to the recently announced measures in the Environment Bill on Biodiversity Net Gain. John is currently leading on two of Affinity Waters IWC innovation projects, including the ‘Smarter Tanks’ project, looking at the use of smart technology to manage the use of tanks for water storage and optimise their fill at times when demand is low. And ‘Seagrass Seeds of Recovery’ a project to look at the potential for blue carbon sequestration.
