Nicola Wilson - Head of Proposition Development, OVONicola is responsible for OVO's Proposition Development Team. Designing, developing and delivering new propositions to market. Nicola is accountable for the full end to end product development process with a specific focus on innovating to solve consumer, sustainability and commercial challenges. Nicola is a strong advocate for consumer centric design thinking and always seeks to have consumer needs at the heart of the propositions that she and her team design. Over the last year, Nicola’s team has launched several flex propositions such as Power Move, which won the Green Energy Product Of The Year award at the National Sustainability Awards. Nicola’s Team also delivered Power Move Plus which is OVO’s ESO Demand Flexibility Service proposition. In addition, Nicola’s team have been involved in publicly funded projects that are seeking to better understand the impacts of energy flexibility. Including leading the proposition design phase of the Department of Net Zero’s Alternative Energy Markets Project in partnership with Energy Systems Catapult and CEPA where a range of future centric flexibility propositions were designed. Looking ahead to 2024 Nicola’s Team will be taking part in the Crowdflex initiative which is the UKs largest flexibility study in partnership with National Grid ESO. Nicola has a degree in Sociology & History and joined OVO 7 years ago, having previously held various Product and Proposition Development roles in the Financial Services sector across EMEA, North America and South America.
