Anna Afiontzi

Anna is a Senior Sustainability Project Manager and has been with Severn Trent Water since 2012. After finishing her Civil Engineering studies in Greece, she moved to the UK to pursue her interest in environmental design in an MSc before joining STW’s Graduate Business Leadership scheme. She started her career experiencing a wide range of business roles from Strategy to Waste Operations and from Change to Performance management. 5 years later she moved back to engineering and joined Capital Delivery, where she delivered projects in the ICA (Instrumentation, Control & Automation) and Water Treatment teams, including her favourite Cinderford wetlands. She moved to the Capital Sustainability team in 2022 to help drive change and make our capital work less impactful on the environment. Her current focus is on understanding and reducing capital carbon emissions from our construction work. Anna loves a mix of many different things! A few of the things she enjoys: at home yoga, spending time in nature, learning to ID and forage plants, charity shopping and singing.
