James Earl, CEO, Future Energy Networks

James is an experienced energy sector leader and CEO of Future Energy Networks (FEN), a membership organisation representing the UK gas networks. He has spent well over a decade in the energy industry at the interface between policy and regulation, both in gas and electricity. 

He is a passionate and vocal advocate for the role that a mix of technologies can play in delivering Net Zero in an equitable and affordable way. His work leading FEN is focused on exactly this – the value that the gas networks can provide in enabling decarbonisation, both through transporting low carbon gases and through supporting the deployment of renewable electricity.
