HAUC(UK) and Road to Net Zero Project to Exhibit at Utility Week Live 2025
Representatives from the Highways Authority and Utilities Committee (HAUC(UK)), together with members of the Road to Net Zero project team, will be exhibiting at Utility Week Live 2025, taking place on 20 & 21 May 2025 at the NEC Birmingham. This premier industry event will bring together key stakeholders from across the utilities sector, providing a platform for innovation, collaboration, and discussion on the future of essential infrastructure works.
As the representative body improving street and road works management across the UK, HAUC(UK) plays a pivotal role in minimising disruption during essential infrastructure projects. Since its establishment in 1986, it has united highway authorities, utilities, and government departments to drive best practices and policy development. With representatives from Local Authorities and the utility sector, HAUC(UK) operates through regional groups—including HAUC England, RAUC Scotland, RAUC Northern Ireland, and Welsh HAUC—ensuring a truly nationwide approach.
The Road to Net Zero project is a collaborative initiative, launched in 2022 and funded by Transport for London (TfL), aimed at decarbonising the UK's street and road works sector. The project’s goal is to create practical tools and methodologies, such as the Carbon Calculator and The All Consequences Calculator (Optioneering Tool), to support the industry in achieving net zero emissions by 2050.
Together, HAUC(UK) and the Road to Net Zero project will showcase their efforts to drive sustainability and efficiency in street works. Delegates visiting the stand will have the opportunity to engage with industry experts, explore innovative solutions, and gain insights into the future of sustainable infrastructure development.
