Telent Stand: A22
Telent and M Group to Showcase Intelligent Infrastructure solutions at Utility Week Live

Telent will return to Utility Week Live this May, exhibiting alongside parent company M Group to show how the two organisations are helping utilities modernise ageing assets and accelerate digital transformation. The stand will highlight how IoT monitoring applications, combined with a secure‑by‑design approach to cyber security, are improving resilience, performance and compliance across the sector.

Telent will demonstrate how its intelligent infrastructure approach improves visibility and performance across energy networks, treatment works and distributed water assets. This includes IoT‑enabled solutions that convert sensor data into real‑time operational insight, supporting proactive maintenance, reducing outages and extending asset lifecycles.

This approach is underpinned by Telent’s expertise in edge computing, networking and remote power. Together, these capabilities form a fully self‑contained solution for continuous water quality monitoring, developed to meet the requirements of Section 82 of the Environment Act 2021. The ruggedised solution is designed for deployment in remote or off‑grid locations, with options for solar power and wireless connectivity via 4G, 5G or low‑earth‑orbit satellite.

With decades of engineering heritage and experience delivering communications and control systems for complex environments, including major programmes at Hinkley Point C and Sizewell C, Telent will also showcase its role in strengthening safety, security and asset reliability across the UK nuclear sector. This includes advanced monitoring, secure OT and IT networks, NOC and SOC services, and specialist field engineering for both new facilities and life‑extension projects.

Group Engineering Director Mick Mohan will join the round‑table discussion “Building intelligent networks: optimising operations and improving maintenance planning” on the Digital Utilities Stage at 11:20 on day one. He will share lessons from Telent’s use of IoT monitoring on rail networks and how these can be applied across energy, utility and water infrastructure.

Together with M Group, the stand will present a combined capability supporting every stage of the asset lifecycle, from AMP planning and resilience through to leakage management, environmental improvement and real‑time data insight, helping utilities meet rising expectations while controlling costs and improving outcomes.
