Wibe Group was founded in 1929 by inventor Anders Wikstrand and financier Victor Berg, whose surnames formed the name “Wibe.” Wikstrand’s early inventions led to the development of a revolutionary ladder built around a strong and lightweight hexagonal side-rail design, inspired by lessons learned from earlier engineering work. As industries evolved, Wibe adapted the same structural principles to create platforms for aviation and cable ladders for the growing electrical infrastructure in modern buildings.
