Matt focusses on transformative systems change. He’s an innovation specialist with 30 years of experience across government, regulation, corporates, charities and startups. He’s CEO and Founder of Ideaonomy.ai, a cross sector collaboration platform. He created Ofgem’s £450m Strategic Innovation Fund, led on Modernising Energy Data Access, sponsored the Digitalisation Taskforce and coauthored BEIS’ Digitalisation Strategy. Prior to Innovate UK he spent 5 years at Centrica where he created the world's first Local Energy Market (Innovation of the Year at the Business Green awards), prior to the platform being acquired by European Power Exchange EPEXspot. He’s set up 6 startups since leaving school at 16, has an executive diploma in Strategy and Innovation from Warwick Business School and worked in the video games sector for a couple of years.
