Doerte is heading up the Flexibility Markets Team at National Grid DSO. She previously worked in DESNZ where she led the ‘Markets for Flexibility’ Team for six years driving reforms to ensure fair access to markets for low-carbon flexibility. Among other things, she led the development of the 2021 ‘Smart Systems and Flexibility Plan’ and oversaw the development and delivery of multiple flexibility-related innovation programmes. Doerte began her career at Ofgem, where she worked on network regulation and smart energy system policy.
