Eric Brown is an independent consultant in energy systems, working through his company Grid Scientific Limited. He is also Professor of Practice in Energy Systems in the Faculty of Engineering at the University of Strathclyde. He is the former Chief Technology Officer at the Energy Systems Catapult, having been part of the team that established the organisation. He remains engaged with the Catapult as Executive Adviser. He became involved in the energy sector after having gained many years’ experience in the telecommunications industry. He is a Fellow of the Institution of Engineering and Technology and of the Energy Institute.
