Gary Fildes is a Senior Cyber Security Consultant at CGI with over 25 years’ experience across information technology and cybersecurity in both public and private sectors, with a strong focus on critical national infrastructure (CNI).
In his current role at CGI, he leads the development of NCSC-assured schemes, primarily the Cyber Resilience Audit (CRA) scheme aligned to the NCSC Cyber Assessment Framework (CAF), supporting organisations in strengthening CNI resilience.
Prior to joining CGI, Gary worked at Ofgem, where he supported the regulation and implementation of the Network and Information Systems (NIS) Regulations across the downstream gas and electricity (DGE) sector. Before this, he spent eight years at the Office for Nuclear Regulation (ONR), overseeing cybersecurity across high-hazard, high-risk civil nuclear sites.
Alongside his consultancy work, Gary leads internal mentoring for the UK Cyber Security Council Chartership programme and supports individuals externally in achieving Chartered status. He also delivers cybersecurity training across Europe for leading industry bodies, including ISC2, ISACA, EC-Council and CompTIA.
