James Daniel is an Innovation Project Manager at UK Power Networks and an independent transformation consultant working at the intersection of service design, operating model change, and practical AI adoption in regulated industries.
With over 25 years in technology and digital transformation spanning Microsoft, ITV, and now the UK's largest electricity distribution network operator, James specialises in helping organisations make better decisions before committing to solutions. He is also developing the Future Operating Model Methodology, a framework for moving organisations from traditional command-and-control structures to agile, AI-ready ways of working.
At Utility Week Live 2026, James is joining the collaborative workshop exploring cross-sector data sharing use cases with CReDO and Stream and bringing a practitioner's perspective on what it actually takes to move from vision to value in complex, regulated environments.
