Jo has been working in the electricity industry for ten years in both retail at EDF Energy and the system operator with National Energy System Operator (formerly National Grid ESO). Jo enjoys delivering complex change programmes which have a tangible positive impact on energy infrastructure; after having delivered the Pennine Pathfinder and at present delivering change to the electricity grid connections process as part of Ofgem and DESNZ’s Connections Action Plan. Jo also has a passion for creating safe spaces for women to come together which is why she decided to become an advocate for Womens Utilities Network where she enables safe spaces through facilitating IAmRemarkable workshops. She also sits on the Steering Committee of NESO’s Women’s Network (Women in NESO) where she has led NESO’s partnership with Men for Inclusion where she has driven the delivery of senior leader workshops to enable better inclusion and drive cultural change.
