Kate Kendall is a Director of Major Projects at Ofwat.  She has responsibility for overseeing the delivery of major projects in the water sector from a regulatory perspective and is responsible for development of the competitive delivery models such as Direct Procurement for Customers and SIPR (The Thames Tideway model).  Kate leads on developing the commercial and regulatory frameworks for the Major Project portfolio of 28 schemes and chairs the regulatory and commercial steering group with water companies.  Kate is an FCCA and has extensive experience of major projects across several sectors including utilities, health, education, and local authority.  Kate has experience of PFI/PPP including as sponsor and private sector financial advisor.  Prior to her role in Major Projects, Kate was director of the Finance and Governance team at Ofwat.  Kate was also involved in developing the Offshore Transmission regime for Ofgem and latterly led both the OFTO and Interconnector teams until 2018.
