Steve McMahon is the Deputy Director for Onshore Networks, Price Control Setting and Head of Scotland at Ofgem. He is responsible for the delivery of Ofgem’s onshore network price controls, most recently delivering the RIIO-ED2 settlement for the electricity distribution networks that will run from April 2023 to March 2028, and will deliver the next regulatory settlements for the electricity and gas networks from 2026. Steve joined Ofgem in January 2017 from Transport Scotland where he led the team responsible for the specification of Scotland’s rail infrastructure programme. Prior to this he held a number of economist roles within both the Scottish and UK Government.
