New! 'Meet the Innovator' workshops

12 innovators have the chance to pitch their solution to a room of water companies and discuss how to implement and scale their solution.

You can submit innovations under one of the three themes:

Water Efficiency for Domestic and Non-Domestic Consumers
Innovation is crucial for developing smarter technologies and behaviour-driven solutions that reduce consumption and waste, helping the sector meet rising demand while safeguarding precious environmental resources. By improving efficiency, both households and businesses can contribute to sustainable water use without compromising on service or productivity.

Wastewater & River Health
Advancing innovative treatment methods and monitoring tools ensures that wastewater is managed more effectively, reducing pollution and protecting river ecosystems. Innovation enables a more integrated approach to water quality, aligning environmental protection with regulatory compliance and public health.

Asset Management & Network Optimisation – hosted by British Water
Innovation drives the digital transformation of ageing infrastructure, enabling proactive maintenance, real-time data use, and system resilience. Smart asset management and optimisation not only reduce operational costs but also enhance service reliability, which is vital in a changing climate and growing urban landscapes.

"UK water companies know they need to innovate to accelerate – but they are large organisations with often cumbersome processes, and cannot always move as fast as they or others would like. Utility Week Live is stepping up to play its part, bringing together water company innovation teams with innovators on our new Water Innovation Hub, where we’ll be hosting a series of ‘meet the innovator sessions’, giving innovators a chance to get their voice heard and their solutions recognised.
