CALLING UTILITIES MUSICAL SUPERSTARS 🎸⚡

This year at Utility Week Live we're turning up the volume with - Utilities ROCK - a brand new 'battle of the bands' competition that brings a touch of star power to the UK's biggest utilities event.

Held on the show floor at the Visitor & Exhibitor drinks on day one, this exciting new feature calls on musical superstars working across the energy and water sectors to take to the stage and show off their talents.

HOW IT WORKS:

// Submit your video: Send a clip of you or your band (at least one member must work in a utility) performing a song by 1 January 2026. Please share the video, along with the name of your act with laurahurel@fav-house.com.

// Get shortlisted: The UWL team will review all entries and select the best acts to perform at Utility Week Live, 19 May 2026. Shortlisted acts will be informed by 2 February 2026.

// Win the crowd: Take to the stage for a three-song set to win the votes of the Utility Week Live audience. 

// Claim your prize: The winner will receive £250 worth of concert ticket vouchers, promotion across Utility Week Live's social media channels, AND the opportunity to perform at the Utility Week Awards 2026 - the industry’s annual celebration of innovation and progress.

Competition terms and conditions

Organiser
The competition is organised by Utility Week Live, part of Faversham House Ltd (“the Organiser”).

Eligibility
The competition is open to solo artists or bands with at least one member currently employed by a UK-based utility company. 
There is no entry fee and no purchase necessary to enter the competition.
All entrants must be aged 18 years or older.
Employees of Faversham House Ltd and their immediate families are not eligible to enter.
Every member of the act must register to attend Utility Week Live 2026 as a Utilities Rock Performer. 

Competition Period
The competition opens on 1 November 2025.
Entries must be submitted by 1 January 2026.
Selected entrants will be invited to perform live on day 1 at Utility Week Live 2026, 19 May 2026 at the NEC Birmingham.

Selecting Finalists and Winner
The Utility Week Live team will review all entries and select finalists to perform at Utility Week Live 2026. Finalists will be informed by XX. 
Audience voting at the event will determine the Utilities Rock Act of the Year 2026.
The judges’ and audience’s decisions are final, and no correspondence will be entered into.

Prize
The winning act will receive:
a) The title “Utilities Rock Act of the Year 2026”.
b) A performance slot at the Utility Week Awards 2026 in December.
c) £250 worth of concert ticket vouchers.
d) Promotion across Utility Week Live’s official social media channels.

The prize is non-transferable and cannot be exchanged for cash or any other alternative.

Use of Content and Media
By entering, participants grant the Organiser permission to use their name, likeness, performance footage, and video submission for promotional purposes related to the competition, Utility Week Live, and Faversham House events.

General Terms
The Organiser reserves the right to disqualify any participant who breaches these terms, submits inappropriate content, or engages in fraudulent or offensive behaviour.
By entering the competition, participants agree to these terms and conditions.
The Organiser reserves the right to amend or cancel the competition if circumstances require.
